Hi I recently had my telephone assessment that I had to wait 18 weeks for. I had already been claiming pip for 3 years prior on my first face to face I scored 10 on motabilty and 10 on daily living so lower rate for both. My first assessor noted in report things were unlikely to change. Took it to tribunal and got rewarded the 2 points in 10 mins for motabilty side. Now for some reason I had to do a completely new claim so did that just before Covid I had seen the specialist and had MRI scan and reports show my discs I’ve already had surgery on are bulging again. So if anything my condition has got worse and need surgery again awaiting to see surgeon obviously my hydro has been froze because of Covid. But I’ve had results from assessment and I’ve lost mobility. He has described it as mild lower back pain. The assessor was not very pleasant and did not have a good phone manor at all. So I’m going straight in for mandatory have my latest scan pictures and report to. I have no feeling or reflex in my left leg or foot, and permanent nerve damage. But he never listened to any of that or what I said. The phone assessment lasted under 30 mins when I had my face to face one was over an hour long. But he listened to me and asked a lot more questions. I’m wondering if anyone else is having this problem. I’m not sure how I can go from scoring 10 then 12 to 0 when my condition is worse now. It’s just so stressful

hI @webstereveWelcome to the community great to have you on board.
I understand your frustration and this does happen as it is a new claim and completely different people looking at your claim.
Make sure in your MR that you give real examples of what happens when you try to do the task and what descriptors you think you should have scored more points.
MR only have a small % of success and like you have done before this may go to tribunal -

Thank you for advice this what is worrying me about MR. The assessor was not nice at all and kept referring that I had sciatica even though I repeated on several times it’s not sciatica and permanent nerve damage and bulging discs again.

I understand but remember PIP isnt about diagnosis but about how your condition affects you and your daily living .
Just make sure you point out in MR this is ongoing condition and nerve damage is perm
Unfortunately this is the process and your only way to appeal -
Hi @webstereve
I have posted a link below for you on the “List of Descriptors”
https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/Global/Migrated_Documents/adviceguide/pip-9-table-of-activities-descriptors-and-points.pdf
These have a list of numbers that are used when your pip form is completed.
Please let me know if you have any questions about these????
