With the form, how do you fill it out?
The way mine was written, it implied you had to be a [removed by moderator] to get anything. Is this true?Â
Mum said there was no point filling it in because I wasn't that bad.

Hi @Awesomelorenzo - There's some information here on Scope about completing a PIP claim form. Please see:Have a look through, & at the other links on that page. Let us know if this helps.
-
Its all about the "descriptors" and how they apply to you, remember PIP isn't about your condition/illness but how it affects your day to day life, abit of online research will give you some ideas, might be worth a coversation with CAB or welfare rights.2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming đź’ˇ

Hi @Awesomelorenzo, hope you are okay a couple of members have posted links that you can click onto, they do help and remember to look at the DESCRIPTORS not your illness/disability, its not same a DLA, it can be confusing for all of us, more links will come online tomorrow and you will get much more helpful information we are always here, i joined in april this year and the help has been amazingÂ

Okay, well if it is just how it affects me, then it really doesn't. I guess I'm okay just to not have extra money. I would love to have extra money.
-
Are you okay?Â
-
Me? Yeah, I'll do.

Hi @Awesomelorenzo, here is the PIP descriptors if you haven't had chance to look at them.
Here is some more info that might be helpful:If there is anything else we can do to help then please do let us know.PIP components
PIP has 2 parts:
- daily living component for people who need help to take part in everyday life
- mobility component for people who find it hard to get around
Each component has a standard or enhanced level, assessed under 12 activities, 10 for daily living and 2 for mobility. For both components, you need:
- 8 to 11 points for the standard rate
- 12 points or more for the enhanced rate
To qualify, you must have met the conditions for 3 months and be likely to meet them for the next 9 months.
