Hi,There's no timescales. Some receive a text the same day, some a few days later, while others wait a few weeks or more, especially if the report has been sent to audit.Your mum can ring DWP to ask if the report has been returned, if it has and she lives in UK they will send her a copy.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Thank you for your advice

The assessment was a week ago x

Poppy that was so freaky a text just came through to say report recieved
well spooky lol -
We finally got through not a happy chappy but said he would send it out and he reapeated twice that this is not final decision as it’s up to a manager not sure if that’s good or bad or why he felt the need to say that x

Hi @curlylurly Welcome here glad you have joined,
The DWP will say that to make claimants aware the report isnt a decision to avoid any confusion -
Thank you for your advice
i thought it could be a bad sign
my mum has severe mental impairment certification
also arthritis ss have installed electric bath chair ( it’s brilliant)
here’s to positive thinking x -
@curlylurly No it isnt a bad thing. I have an electric bath chair they are great at least you are able to have a nice soak in a bubble bath which is something I missed when I couldnt have one

Just want to wish yous good luck hopefully your mum gets a good award ?

The adviser you spoke to wouldn't know what was written in the report, unless they look, which i highly doubt that would have happened in that very short phone call. Once the report has been received you'll be able to look online for the PIP descriptors and compare the report against that. You'll need to add up any points that may have been recommended because in the report they won't be added. They usually go with the report, even though it's not a final decision, it's rare they go against it.

Thanks poppy I will wait for mums report to come and I will update you
thabk you for your advice x -
Hi @curlylurly. I can only echo what others have said in that you can't read anything into them reminding you it isn't a final decision. I hope your mum receives the report soon.Community Manager
