Face mask

Hi,

I not sure whether you can help me. I have Cerebral palsy and due to my involuntary movements I am unable to keep a normal face mask on, I been told I need a full face mask just what nurses wear in hospitals. I want to go out because I haven’t been out in months, I won’t go out without proper protection for my needs. I understand the government saying people with disabilities are exempt from wearing them, I am going risk my health.

Please help me.

Kind regards,

 Martin

You only have to wear them in shops from Friday 24th, there are exemptions but AFAIK that involves getting a letter from your GP, you should be safe enough outside in the open air as long as you stay 2 metres away from other people.

Hi and welcome to the community, as stated above you do not need t wear a mask to go out but in some areas like public transport, hospitals, GPs and from 24th in shops

I think there is an exemption card available but sorry I dint know where to get one from

    Hi @martie11
Good to meet you. I have quad CP and have found that the washable face masks sit slightly better on my face. There is some information about exemptions and where to get an exemption card from.
