Can you get PIP for diverticular disease
Comments
-
HI and welcome,No, because it's not awarded based on any diagnosis. It's how those conditions affect your ability to carry out daily activities based on the PIP descriptors.A successful claim can potentially take several months.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -

Great to meet you @kmcewan1
If your diverticulitis is having an impact on your life and causing extra costs to manage, yes you should apply for PIP. Do you know how to get started? Scope's Personal Independence Payment page is a good place to help understand the next steps.

Hi @kmcewan1 Welcome to the community glad you have joined us
If your ability to carry out normal day to day activities is affected then you may qualify for PIP. Have a look at the descriptors to see if you think you should be awarded
