Is there anyone here that has an invisible disability that is a chronic pain and fatigue disorder who also teaches?

Hello @bluebell56 and welcome to our online community.
I also don't know any teachers with non-visible impairments but would be interested to know if any of our members are
Out of interest, are the school management team supporting you and any needs you have? I found this TES article: How teachers with chronic illnesses should be supported that could be an interesting read for you.
Good luck with the return back to school and let us know how you get on.Online Community Co-ordinator

Thank you I will have a read. Prior to the COVID issues I had access to work come and assess me and everything was put in place so that I could successfully carry out my role. But they’ve changed the way we do things to prevent the spread of the virus. This means that I am now in a very challenging situation which has led to me having to go off sick. They haven’t thought about my needs as a disabled member of staff and I’ve had to fight for what little they’ve put in place so far. It’s just exhausting. I was wondering if anyone was in the same or similar circumstances as me to see if anyone had any ideas for how to deal with it.

@Bluebelle56 I'm sorry you haven't received support for your needs, that must have been really trying.
There is a group called Chronically Academic on Facebook and Twitter where disabled educators discuss related issues which might be worth having a look at if you are on social media?
Let us know how you get on.
