Hi,That's great news! regarding the SDP because you live with your mum then she would need to be claiming a qualifying benefit such as PIP daily living or DLA mid/high rate care, or registered blind, if you answer no to those then i'm afraid you won't be entitled to the SDP.Criteria here. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/help/severe-disability-premiumHope this helps.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Great stuff @Comicmadtitan! What a relief.

Thank you @ernie2009 and @Tori_Scope!
Thank you @poppy123456! The answer is no unfortunately to those, is there any other of the disability premiums I'm entitled as I think there's a regular one from the link you sent and is that backdated? -
As you're already in the Support Group if you're claiming Income Related ESA then the Enhanced disability premium is automatically added. The disability premium that you're talking about (£34.95 per week) is not payable when claiming ESA.This was taken from the above link. For your ESA then you're claiming all that you're entitled to.
Disability premium payments can be added to your:
- Income Support
- income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
- income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- housing benefit
You usually need to be eligible for the disability premium to qualify for the severe or enhanced premiums.
If you get income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) you can only get the severe or enhanced premium.
