I know we often prefer different things at different times but, if you had to choose one thing, what would it be?!
For me it would be cheese and biscuits with a glass of cognac

I hate picking favourites! Right now, and almost permanently, I really fancy some crisps, and I'd love a cold G&T to wash them down (but obviously wouldn't drink on the job ?)

Roast beef and Yorkshire puddings, and a cappuccino coffee.
Nearly forgot Eton mess for desert!“This is my simple religion. No need for temples. No need for complicated philosophy. Your own mind, your own heart is the temple. Your philosophy is simple kindness.”

Favourite is lobster but not your every day meal washed down with a glass of white zinfandel
For everyday would be roast lamb mint sauce , mash , roast parsnips and carrots
Followed with apple pie and thick cream
I would then collapse in a heap and need a latte to recover -

Whitley Neal Rhubarb & Ginger is a good gin to use. I believe Sainsbury’s do 3cl miniatures so you could try just the one. -

@janer1967 I have never ever had lobster. How would you describe it to someone who has never eaten it? Roast lamb sounds good too.
-
@66Mustang I would describe it like a mix between scampi and prawn, it is like a prawn texture but a bit stronger in taste
Is is best served warm after being poached in butter and out back in its shell, then covered with thermidor sauce, breadcrumbs and top grilled (in my opinion )
If you like prawns, scampi seafood then you should like it -
@janer1967 thank you I love prawns and scampi so that sounds delicious. I will have to try it one day...
-
I've had the Sainsbury's pre-mix can before @66Mustang- delicious! I should try my own, thanks for the recommendation.

@66Mustang Unfortunately it is very expensive and then if you dont like it a waste. There is a fantastic seafood restaurant near me that specialises it. Also a pub where the landlord does his own fishing for his menu (quite reasonable price)
It is also usually popular abroad i I have had it i Majorca mainly -
I like different seafoods but my favourite has got to be freshly dressed crab
-
@willow12 I have to agree with you there I like crab too
-
But I also like winkles and bulk whelks
-
Not a fan to be honest dont mind cockles and mussels and I love scallops
-
I love pickled cockles and mussels in jars lol
-
Yes I had heard that it is expensive. Apparently people often eat it accompanied by champagne? I will have to wait for a special occasion before I try it!
As for cockles I am into my food and am up for trying just about anything but I’ve seen cockles in a jar and to be honest they look a bit scary to eat! Maybe they are delicious though!
-
I think pickled cockles look like lil seagull heads lol
-
Haha
-
I LOVE Mexican food! For drinks, I enjoy smoothies or I'll join @Tori_Scope with a gin!
