Should GPs now be seeing patients face to face if the patient requests a consultation?

Our GPs have been told they should be seeing patients but it is still almost impossible to be seen.

Do you think many illnesses are being missed?

Good point I dont know if mine are but I cant see why they shouldn't be if people are back at work and schools open and other services like opticians are all operating why not gp

@woodbine I agree mostly with what you say but there are times when a telephone consult just doesn't cut it. I had badly swollen feet and ankles and it has caused problems with my arthritis and legs too. I was given water tablets which have at least allowed me to get shoes on again. I still think a personal consult would be better to diagnose the problems with my legs which feell like I am trying to lift concrete.0

Very good point @roberttaylor570! Also, a lot of clinics have been closed.
