If you had to sing on the karaoke, what song would you go for?

I think I'd go for Meat Loaf - Paradise by the dashboard light  :D I once did Proud Mary by Tina Turner and lets just say, my Yorkshire accent didn't do it justice.

Dancing in the Moonlight, the Toploader version, is my go-to. It has to be something everyone else will sing along with, so as to drown out the noise of my monotone wailing.

What an eclectic assortment we have between us.  This would make for a cracking karaoke night!

::sings:: There's me in the corner, thats me in the spotlight, losing my religion!!

@Parrot123 There is an online singing group called "The Sofa Singers" that meet twice a week.  They charge a membership fee of £10 a month but their website says:
I'd like to be a member but I can't afford the monthly payment?
There are a limited number of bursary memberships available - please email for details.
Let us know if you give it a try.

Hi Will - if you click on The Sofa Singers in Cher's post above, it takes you to their webpage. At the top of that page there's a 'How to Join' link. :)

The first Karaoke song I ever did was a duet, me and my House Parent from College as Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton on Islands in the Stream, because being about 17 at the time I chickened out of doing a solo lol. Suffice to say I was hooked and I've been doing singing for most of the last 27 years since, first solo I did, I think, was that one from Robin Hood Prince of Thieves that was number 1 for 4 months in 1994.

There's some songs I wouldn't mind doing, Night Games by Graham Bonnet's one but nowhere's got it, not even online.

I thought of this thread the other day, as I did karaoke for a friend's birthday on Friday. I did Toxic by Britney Spears, Don't Stop Believing by Journey, Baby by Justin Bieber, and A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Calrton, to name but a few 😳
