I just had a scan of my shoulder. Not much else to report back on. Still struggling generally. But hope it's the start of being listened to.

Hello @harry01, nice to hear that you've had your shoulder scan.
I'm still waiting for mine, it probably won't be until the end of the year! Meanwhile I'm in a lot of pain with both shoulders...
Wishing you a peaceful Saturday. Take care. -

@Oxonlady
I don't understand. Why have they kept you waiting so long? Oddly they were quick in terms of getting this scan.
-
My Consultant, in his wisdom, marked it "routine", instead of "urgent". Routine scans take more than three months on the NHS waiting list...
I hope you get your scan results soon. -
Thank you, @chiarieds and @Tori_Scope. Unfortunately, it won't even be the right scan. I requested an MRI Scan but the consultant only ordered an ultrasound. I have already been to a different hospital where they did an ultrasound and said that the images were not clear. So why is this doctor not listening to me and making me wait for a scan that isn't even suitable? He obviously doesn't care how much pain I'm in. I despair of some doctors...
I understand exactly how @harry01 feels when doctors just won't listen. -
@Oxonlady that makes me angry. Complain - It's obviously not okay.
I have put a complaint through pals.
But you probably know more about this than me. I got my scan because you helped me.
-
Oh, bless you @harry01, thank you for saying that.
Yes, I should contact PALS next week. Thank you for reminding me! My health has been so bad the last couple of weeks that I've not been thinking straight.
Take care. You are a star. -
Hello @harry01, how are you? How are things going for you?
-
Just hanging in there really. It's very difficult. Hopefully I'll get rid of this major pain soon.
-
Hi @Tori_Scope, I have been in dreadful pain with both shoulders, both elbows and the muscles of the upper arms. A scan has been arranged for mid-November. I've been intending to ring and see if there are any appointments before that but I've been too ill. It could be a trapped nerve...
-
Gosh, that sounds really painful @Oxonlady Definitely try and ring them if you feel up to it. Is there perhaps someone else that could ring on your behalf?
-
Hi @Tori_Scope, I've just managed to ring the hospital and they offered me a slightly earlier appointment but it's still in November... I said I'll try again in a few days to see if anything comes up this month...
-
Well hopefully you'll be able to get one even sooner @Oxonlady. Is there anything at all you can do to ease the pain in the meantime?
-
Hi @Tori_Scope, I could increase the dose of my painkillers but then I'd get stomach pain. So not many options available...
-
I see. That sounds like a hard balancing act. I've got my fingers crossed you'll get that scan soon @Oxonlady. Try and take it easy in the meantime if you can.
-
@harry01 Hope you get some answers after the scan and there is some treatment available
-
-
That's okay @harry01. Hopefully they'll get back to you soon
