I know that we all love a good game, so I thought I'd start another one!
Fortunately unfortunately is a game where you alternate between beginning a sentence with 'fortunately' and 'unfortunately' in relation to what the above commenter has said. Here's an example:
Fortunately, I got a new puppy at the weekend!
Unfortunately, he ran away.
Fortunately, he came back with a present for me.
Unfortunately, the present was stolen.
Fortunately, dogs don't have fingerprints.
Unfortunately, the police can identify dogs by their hair.
Fortunately, my puppy is hairless.
... and so on.
It can be as sensible or as silly as you'd like. I'll post the first one in the comments.

Fortunately, I moved into a new house this week.
-
Unfortunately there was a spider enthusiast living there
-
Fortunately, due to a global shortage of spiders, they haven't been able to buy any.
-
Unfortunately the last owners left all their rotting food and rubbish
-
Fortunately I had an enormous new dustbin
-
I think we've accidentally managed to get two going here. We'll go with @chiarieds' latest comment.
Unfortunately, the bins won't be collected until next Thursday. -
Fortunately I’m on a diet so there won’t be much waste to build up at all.

Unfortunately, my friend just told me she's delivering a load of food to my house as a random act of kindness.

Fortunately I have a pet pelican who is always hungry
-
Unfortunately, my pet pelican is on a diet
-
Fortunately I also have a pet dog who is only interested in food
-
Unfortunately my pelican tries to pinch the dog's food.
-
Fortunately I worked that out, and started buying dog food that my pet pelican is allergic to.
-
Unfortunately the pelican didnt know they were allergic to the dog food and ate quite a lot and is now not in a good way
-
Fortunately I was on hand with my pelican's EpiPen, the EpelicanPen
-
Unfortunately my dog jumped up, knocked my EpelicanPen out of my hand, & the Pelican ate it(Ha, I was being polite mis-spelling the mythical EpelicanPen; changed mine now too )
-
Fortunately I had my vets telephone number at hand so phoned them
