Disaster today. After fighting for nearly 4 years to get my child back into education. He just starting to do so well after attending for last 3 years. Today had a EHCP review on teams. They have used the fact of due to last lockdown and cancellation of April review. Now overdue. a full reassessment. They Are. Pulling child funding and returning. Back.to.county to a totally inappropriate. School. This will crush all child has achieved to date they don't care that this autistic child will now fail if they move them. I'm financially broke, lost my job, and to boot disabled. I can't cope with my child suffering another nervous breakdown due to gov bureaucracy and budget crunching. I can't visit school they proposed even though aware its totally unsuitable from last visit as we are in shutdown. Devastated and exhausted with all this. don't know what I can do this time.

Hi & welcome @twowiseowls - I'm very sorry indeed to read this. It's not something I know a lot about, but Scope has some online info that may help. Please see: https://www.scope.org.uk/advice-and-support/school-not-following-ehcp/IPSEA (Independent Provider of Special Education Advice) may be able to help, see: https://www.ipsea.org.uk/ &/or SENDIASS (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Information Advice and Support Service). See: https://www.kids.org.uk/sendiassI will also ask a member of the Scope team for their advice. @Adrian_Scope, @Richard_Scope, @Cher_Scope, @Ross_Scope, or @Tori_Scope, I would welcome one of you to give some advice here, thank you.

Hi @twowiseowls
I'm sorry to read about your very challenging situation. As @chiarieds has mentioned, please make contact with IPSEA and SENDIASS.
Here is some information Education Exclusion Information from the National Autistic Society.
If it was me, I would also contact every local councillor and prospective member of Parliament. Unfortunately, it's going to require more fight and it shouldn't be that way. I send you my very best wishes.Scope

Thank you richard I've tried to book a call with ipsea, all slots full for over next 2wks. Limited help from other organizations due to lockdown. New Ehcp high needs co ordinator stated she will complete in 15days. Its almost as if they are using covid lockdown to their advantage. + fact I am a disabled parent..she just kept sprouting I have a duty of care to county, (obviously not the child.) Using the fact as he has improved in present education. Which has only happened in last 6mths. That this means his needs have now changed. He is more able!!!!!!. A more suitable school can be provided.?? She also stated new style EHCP review paperwork. She would be re-draughting transferring existing review paperwork provided to school into a new format consolidating present information. basically I can only presume her interpretation of child's present needs rewritten to fit new proposed school. She has had 8months to send new style review paperwork to school but has only just decided to share this fact at review putting present school MDT/ child/ parent at a disadvantage. I'm so exhausted with it all. So pedantic of county, trying to tie us in knots again. I simply don't have the funds to fight them again. Not to mention the impact of stress and anxiety to both our mental and physical disabilities, & well being. It took 4 years last time just to get him back into education at a level required to meet child's needs.
