How do you actually get a carer, when you have no family, to come help with daily activities?

Hi @Ted1964, how are you?
I would advise contacting your local authority or social care provider. You can use this NHS resource to find services local to you.Online Community CoordinatorConcerned about another member's safety or wellbeing? Flag your concerns with us.

Thanks for the reply. I just seem to be going around in circles at the minute

Sorry to hear that @Ted1964, what makes you feel that way? Have you tried reaching out for help before?

Yes I have. It feels like I’m banging my head against a wall sometimes. I’m just getting passed from pillar to post

I'm sorry to hear that's how it's going @Ted1964, it can often be frustrating getting the help you need and sometimes it's time consuming.

Hi,You can refer yourself for a needs assessment by contact your local council. Whether they will come out to visit you for this at the moment i have no idea. My local council are not attending any home appointments and everything is done by phone calls.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Hi as above refer yourself for a care needs assessment, also may be worth talking to your GP to see if they can help
Another solution would be to resource a carer privately if you are ate to afford this (dont shout at me ) even if its temp till social services provide something -
Thank you both. I’ll let you know how it goes
