RollI'd probably use 'roll' to describe the bread item in the picture. To me, a lot of the things listen above are different. A cob is different to a bun, which is different to a roll, which is different to an oven bottom, and so on.

BreadcakeI'm as Yorkshire as they come me, it's a breadcake.
-
RollI'd call that one a roll, but I prefer oven bottom muffins.2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡

RollI'd also call it a roll. Can't say it looks all that appetising in that picture though!
I'd class a bap as a larger, flatter roll. And oven bottom muffins are a lighter texture with a very flat, slightly burnt base. -
RollIn the bin @Cher_Scope.

RollIt's not the best picture in the world I admit @OverlyAnxious And I agree about baps and oven bottom muffins!

RollI did have a bit of a moral crisis with the alt text @Ross_Scope! I had to put it in manually as there wasn't an auto-generated one. I didn't know how else to describe it
