Hi looking for help.. I have Emphysema and broncolitis. Had both elements at standard rate on pip. Just had review and got higher rate Daily living but only standard rate Mobility .. reason I'm now over 65.. I think this is unfair.. as great I have help indoors . But I'm stuck indoors without higher mobility . As I have steps at front back house so csnt have mobility scooter. But if I got mobility could get car and hoist and keep scooter in can. I would have my life back.. any help on this would be fsntastic.. kyra

HI and welcome,The up age limit is not 65, it's state pension age, which is 66 now. Are you state pension age? If so then you can ask for a supersession, which means you're asking the for original decision to be changed but you'll need to prove that your conditions changed before you reached state pension age. I would also advise you to get some expert advice regarding this supersession.Link her explains a supersession. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/benefits-introduction/problems-with-benefits-and-tax-credits/challenging-a-benefit-decision/challenging-a-dwp-benefit-decision-on-or-after-28-october-2013/changing-a-benefit-decision-by-revision-and-supersession/changing-a-dwp-benefit-decision-by-supersession/For expert advice, start by putting your postcode into this link. https://advicelocal.uk/

Hi Poppy.. my condition got worse before I was 66. However I did not contact DWP. As I was waiting on my review date they had set. But in the end I made them aware of changes 1 year before this date . So i dont think suppression rule would be any use to me.
