HI and welcome,If you're living in England, there's no swimming pools allowed to open during lockdown. https://www.swimming.org/swimengland/third-national-lockdown-reaction/

Hi and welcome on board
There dont seem to be many carers on here as members but lots of people who use carers
Can you search on Google for private pool facilities in your area as we dont know which location you are in yo be able to offer suggestions
There is a carers section you may find useful have a look around1 -

Hi thankyou for your responses we are in the north west of England, I work one to one with a young lady with cerebral palsy, she doesn't understand why things are closed but has coped so well yet hates staying in and I think is now started to get agitated with no activities which unfortunately results in her not eating or drinking well as this is how she displays upset
Just looking for ideas on how others have coped with disabilities or supporting those with disabilities0 -

There are other members from Wales here. I did comment on the thread earlier and advised that there's no pools open in England. My daughter is a carer for children and there's no pools open for them either, infact, there's nothing at all open except essential shops.

Yes I know, just didn't know if anywhere would possibly be different due to therapy needs and not pleasure as my client can still attend her rebound sessions at her specialist gym. Thankyou for all you're answers0

Hi @Amy1987 - welcome to Scope. Thank you for joining in order to find out more for your young lady with CP.I'm hoping something in this link might help. I think everyone is getting frustrated & upset with the lockdowns, especially some of the more vulnerable people. Anyway please see this thread that Scope has put together; there's info about activities, & ways to help with stress: https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/75929/coping-with-stress-low-mood-and-isolation-a-support-thread#latest Hope some of the ideas there might help.

Hi @Amy1987 and welcome to the community, hope you're well.
I'm not certain about any private pools being open, but I believe all public ones will be closed, certainly in England where I am based. I wish I could be of further help. Maybe contact your local council about it?1
