OK I know I'm currently account restricted on there till 3 weeks next Monday, but I can still use Messenger, and I'm getting an influx of Foreign women sending Porn links! I always block and move on, but short of deleting my FB account is there a way to stop them?!

report to facebook as you get them, or wait 3 weeks then create a new account?2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming đź’ˇ

@MrAllen1976 you need to report it to Facebook or change your password or close your account and open another on

@MrAllen1976 only other way at the moment would either be to report it to Facebook or change your passwordÂ

If its an actual ad, this can be due to your browsing history which is then picked up on and suitable adverts are placed on your social media feeds to view.Â
If it is messages regarding porn sites, then its easy, you just need to report to FB. -
Change your password as instructed this will stop it if it is hackersÂ

@MrAllen1976 would you try for just a week to take @woodbine off ignore and see how it goes please we all need to try and get on and @woodbine is trying to help youÂ
-
Also please comply to community guidelines and stop making comments about people not replyingÂ
Everyone on here is able to comment if you want to ignore then that's your choiceÂ
Have you ever considered @woodbine might be holding out a helping hand and trying to resolve the issue between you both -

@woodbine greatly appreciated have to see if @MrAllen1976 will tryÂ

@mrallen1976, whether you mean to or not you’re being pretty rude to @woodbine whose response was reasonable in attempting to help with your query.ÂIf you do not wish to see his messages again, please add him to your ignore list and avoid drawing him into discussions by remarking on this.ÂWith regards to your question, there should be a setting on FB to restrict who can send you messenger messages. I believe you can set this to “friends only” which would mean you’d no longer receive these messages.
I’d do as suggested above and change your password to be on the safe side. It’s also very much recommended not to click on any links on there from people you don’t know.ÂCommunity Manager
