Certainly been binge watching CNN just recently for obvious reasons. Down time for my sort of shows. No doubt will get the Arrowverse shows again at some point. My tivo box will be set to watch the NEW version of Celebration of Witches. Agents of Shield will have its last season at some point. I haven't been with my Doctor Who friends just lately, to know whatever has happened with that. The BBC hasn't been very fair with us on that in recent times. It also gave up on the great Sci Fi shows some time ago.

I have two beauties to add to my list, neither of which are that festive:

1) Murder on Middle Beach - this is on the Sky crime channel and is a 4-parter in which a man goes back to interview his family members as he tries to uncover more about the murder of his mum. I won't give anything away but if you like real crime shows, this will be right up your street.

2) Love after Lockup - this is on TLC and follows the eventful love-lives of prison inmates as they are released and partner up with their civvy soulmates on the outside. It's American, possibly semi-scripted and deliciously rubbish viewing.

Does anyone have any other recommendations for us all?

Unforgotten on netflix 3 seasons it was fantastic

It's about old missing people who's bodies are found years later and the investigation to find the killers.

I don't watch TV but I do enjoy looking up clips from TV shows on YouTube. I always end up clicking on a suggested video after watching a clip and then doing the same again after watching that one. I think they call that "falling down a YouTube hole".

Most recently I've been watching Keeping Up Appearances, Fawlty Towers, and of course Top Gear which is my staple.

I never watched Top Gear, I don't like Jeremy Clarkson, anyone else who belted his producer the way he did would've been fired on the spot and would never work in TV again.

I don't take much interest in what happens behind the scenes but I thought he had been fired from the BBC. He now works for Amazon Prime I believe.

Though that may be for something else he did, he doesn't have a very clean track record.

I've recently watched (again) all 10 series of "Benidorm", real shame they stopped making it. Also watched everything i player has on "mrs Browns Boys" so funny, will be looking forward to the new episodes over xmas probably the only thing I will watch on TV.

I've just finished watching 'Cardinal' which is a Canadian detective series based on Giles Blunt's 'Forty Words for Sorrow', which I thoroughly enjoyed. I too also very much liked 'Unforgotten.'

I'm just about to try 'Line of Duty,' which others seem to have enjoyed too.

He also presents Who Wants To Be a Millionaire on ITV.

That was better when Chris Tarrant did it IMO.

Are you talking about the spy program that was on the TV maybe 10 years ago? I really liked that. I thought it was well done. I believe it had Richard Armitage in it who played Guy of Guisbourne in Robin Hood which is another program I liked.

Richard Armitage was in 'Spooks' and played the character Lukas North. I agree, it was well done and very up to date for it's time, particularly watching the series from start to finish this year, some of the stories were relevant and in some cases advanced for the time they were made, in terms of actual similar events. I haven't seen the Robin Hood with Richard Armitage in, please may I ask, when was the programme first shown? Thank you.

@WestHam06 I agree some of the stories were really relevant and could even be seen as before their time. I do wonder how realistic it is though? Do you think being an agent in real life is similar to how it is portrayed on Spooks or do you think it is adapted a lot for the TV? I ask this as a family member was a real life police detective and he said a real detective is nothing like detective programs on TV, it’s mostly paperwork!! Haha.

Robin Hood came out on the BBC in 2006 and had 3 series. The first two were the best in my opinion, I think by the third one it had run its course if that makes sense but I still liked the third series. It stars Jonas Armstrong as Robin Hood.

I definitely agree that some of the stories could be seen as before their time, but do also agree that some of the stories were definitely made for 'television' rather than portraying realism. One of the story lines that springs to mind is the episode about an environmentalist group storming the Thames barrier and threatening to flood London. At the end, Adam and Ros are trapped underwater for a long period of time but manage to find a way out. Personally, I don't think being a real life agent is how it is portrayed in 'Spooks' though I'm sure there were elements in the show that are. Most of these programmes are written for dramatic purposes and use a loosely factual situation to build upon, though of course this is just my opinion. Despite this, I still very much enjoyed watching 'Spooks' and thought it was brilliant. I haven't seen the Robin Hood you mentioned, but can understand what you say about the third series running it's course a little bit, I think that can happen with some programmes. Also, well done, I've just updated the football table and you have another point, you're doing really well, well done

I like all of them csi new York csi cyber cdi new Orleans csi miami I watched alot more than that the problem is my sleeping since I had corona virus then not being able to work my body clock has gone out of sync I am not going out so I am not tired I only went to bed at about 8am this morning and I had to get up twice to answer the door so I will answer my messages and then go back to sleep lol

I love that film cool running I cried and cry every time I watch when they pick the bob sleigh up and walked across the finish line it sent out a good message they worked hard and nothing was going to stop them getting over the finish line

I agree, in my opinion, I haven't seen Nicola Walker in a bad programme and enjoy all of what she has done. The good news is that 'Unforgotten' is returning next year for series 4 and there is talk of a series 3 of 'The Spilt' though obviously due to Covid, things have been put back. I look forward to the return of 'Unforgotten'

This country a documentary style comedy about 2 cousins and there friend the vicar very funny i watched all 3 series in a week on bbc iplayer.I recommend this if your looking to cheer yourself up during these troubled times.

I have to let you all know about a programme on Channel 4 called 'It's a Sin'. This is a powerful five part series that follows a group of young gay men living in London throughout the 1980's as the HIV/AIDS epidemic took hold. It's one of those programmes that just stays with you for a long while after, and I'd highly recommend watching it to learn more about life during that time and the felt impact on those living through it. The soundtrack's belting too.
