No assessment needed

Hi
I just had my review. I didn't need a face to face or phone assessment as nothing had changed. They had everything they needed from the review form, the previous one plus assessment.

Things haven't changed,  but there's the problem.  They acknowledged that I told them about my anxiety and how that impacts my daily life and the descriptors,  but dismiss the condition exists. The reason for no points for care is because I am not seeing a specialist and haven't given them any hospital appointments. That was the reason prior.
I don't want a referral.

They will review from January next year as I only have the award until 2023. That's less time that before. I can't help thinking it's too do with covid?

    hi @muddled

So I'm assuming that you currently get awarded mobility? If you definitely feel that you should be rewarded for care and can give examples/evidence then I would ring them to ask that to be reconsidered.

I get it for mobility yes.
I don't have anymore evidence to show I suffer with anxiety.

I've just recently completed my son's review and advised that things have not changed and if fact some things have worsened. They had lots of past evidence about his anxiety, he autistic and he's seen camhs in the past. His report says that because there was no breathless over the phone, he doesn't suffer. It's so difficult to get across and invisible disability/mental health condition. Do you have anybody that could write a letter stating how your anxiety affects you on a day to day basis?

They didn't believe  I suffer with any mental health issues as I don't have any outside input. My supporting letter and examples were then ignored.  It would mean paying my gp to confirm what my conditions are I guess for the next review. I dunno.

If you feel that your evidence and supporting letter covers how your anxiety affects you and if you feel strong enough, I personally would ask for a mandatory reconsideration but understandably, you may not want to take that route but I've found lots of information on here to assist.
