Applied for a job at a Pet Store in Rotherham, would I be able to apply for Transport to get there?

Under the "Access to work" scheme? I don't drive due to disability and the job is in deepest, darkest Rotherham City Centre I think, I did look the postcode up on Google Maps and it's only about 7 miles away so I don't think it would be expensive.
Can anyone offer advice?

It’s also worth reading the AtW staff guide too, it gives you an insight into how they assess you.0

Yes you will be able to apply for a transport to the location to where you have applied to0

What was the application like for the pet store? Was it just an online form?0
-
Yeah just an online form, CV and cover letter on Indeed.

I'm no expert in access to work but I thought it was more for funding thisecwho cant use public transport to get to work
I'm sure others know more but as past employer since of my staff got funding for taxis rather than public transport1 -
Problem with using Taxis to get to work is that I know from old that getting a reliable Taxi firm before 9 AM's like pulling teeth due to the school runs, and back in my school days even they were nearly always late, fortunately I had a very sympathetic form teacher otherwise I'd have spent 75% of my life in detention.janer1967 said:I'm no expert in access to work but I thought it was more for funding thisecwho cant use public transport to get to work

You would only be entitled to funding for taxis if you are unable to use public transport due to your disability
I wasnt suggesting using them just pointing out you may not get help from access to work for travel if you can use public transport1 -
If you have a job and go through the Access to Work scheme @MrAllen1976, as mentioned above one of the potential outcomes, depending on what you ask for and what they judge you to need, is that you will gain funding for taxi travel to and from work.
And with that, you along with your employer could approach local taxi ranks and create a contract with them for your travel, ensuring that you always have your ride to and from work and don't need to jump too and from different taxi ranks trying to get a pick up.1 -
I'll look into it, not heard from the Pet shop in Rotherham yet though or the Bertie Gertie's at Canklow.Ross_Scope said:If you have a job and go through the Access to Work scheme @MrAllen1976, as mentioned above one of the potential outcomes, depending on what you ask for and what they judge you to need, is that you will gain funding for taxi travel to and from work.
