Hi and welcome
I'm not too sure of the answer however PIP will need ni number to claim
Hopefully others will know there I'd no ref to electoral role on forms but not sure if they check this -
The council have nothing to do with PIP, it's a DWP benefit. I am not aware of any requirement to be on the electoral role in order to claim benefits.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.

@calcotti when you register to vote why does it ask for your NI?

@janer1967 why does the council ask for your NI then when you want to get on the council tax ?

Council asking for your NI to help identify you (which I wasn't aware they did) doesn't indicate that in order to claim benefits you need to be on the electoral role. They're separate.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.

@calcotti I posted it on another thread because you didn't reply. I've spoken to pip and they said to claim pip in general you don't need to be on the electoral. Council have said they only take the NI to confirm identity
