Samaritans Challenge

I am well into the first week of the Samaritans '310000 steps in March' challenge and have exceeded my target of raising £150 for this worthy cause. I am so grateful for the support I am receiving from family and friends. Really spurs me on to keep walking even when I don't feel like it. I do feel better (and sleep better) for walking every day and I have completed my 70000 steps for the week with one day to go. Still gonna get up and out in my walking boots tomorrow (scarf and gloves warranted too methinks). I'll reward myself with a nice roast when I get back. Hope you are all keeping well

Ode to Joy with Martin Freeman. Only 1 hr 40 which suits my concentration span and it's quite funny. On Sky Cinema if anyone fancies it

Update: finished my first week on 82000 steps and today achieved my PB of 15050. Making the most of the sunshine as the weather is turning awful tomorrow for the rest of the week. Have to admit I'm a fair weather walker so shall be doing lots of step workouts. I'll try to dodge the showers though and get at least half my steps outdoors. I hope to carry on the walking after the challenge has ended because it's doing my mental health and sleep the power of good. Hope you are all ok and getting the support you need

That's amazing progress @coylygirl! Well done

I think carrying on walking is a really good idea. Perhaps you could even join a walking group once groups are allowed to meet again?0 -
There is a local walking group near where I live. That's a good idea Tori
