Curfew for men

The baroness was making a point that’s all, a serious point though.
i personally don’t go out after dark if I can help it, I’d never thought about it as a self imposed curfew but I suppose that’s what it is. I just don’t feel safe in the streets at night at all. My partner thinks it’s amusing but she seldom goes out after dark either.
during the day time if I find myself walking behind a woman I cross over to help her feel more comfortable and I might slow down to give extra space between us. There’s not much else I can do.2 -

@leeCal I wouldn't go out after dark either unless I was in a vehicle
@lisathomas50 I had a quick read0 -
Not all men are bad, by putting the curfew in you would be using the same brush for every man.... that's not fair!0

To be honest I don't think it will be passed. First the majority in all four parliaments/assemblies are men. Second it is totally impractical. For one thing it would kill off the economy if all men had to be in by 6pm, or even 9pm. Finally how would it makes things safer for women, and children in abusive relationships where the abuser is forced to be home from 6pm?
At best it is an interesting talking point to get more air time and inches in the press.
On the other hand what I do like about the current conversation is it not about how women are to blame, but rather what men can do to help make women feel safer. Plus more talk about teaching young men - though it is a lesson many older men could do with - how to treat women, and in particular how not to treat them.
