Hi @annie237 - & welcome to the community. You can earn up to a certain amount each month before your UC is affected. This depends on whether you get help with your housing costs. This is £292 per month if you get help with this, & £512 per month if you don't.If you earn more than the relevant amount, your UC will be deducted by 63p for every £1 over. Please see the following: https://www.gov.uk/universal-credit/how-your-earnings-affect-your-payments

Thankyou very much, I do get housing help so I would be deducted @63p anything over the £292. Millions of thanks and stay safe xx

Hi all
So, can a person who is categorised as having LCWRA also work? I was under the impression that it was only those with LCW who could work.
I've obviously misunderstood, but could someone confirm this just so that I've got my info right.
Thanks.

@Nader yes you can work but you need to notify them and as long as the work doesn't contradict the reason you get lcwra . Working could prompt a reassessment

@janer1967 Ok, I understand now. Thank you.
