My daughter has been accepted on a part time degree course. What benefits might she be entitled to?

Hi, My daughter is 20 and about to move into a supported living flat. She has also been accepted on a part time degree course starting in September. She needs to find £210 rent per week for the flat. Her student loan won't even cover half of this. Please can anyone help with what else she may be entitled to? She is in receipt of the enhanced rate of PIP for both care and mobility and is a wheelchair user. I am also on a low income as a mature student.

If the course is part time she may be able to claim Universal Credit.

It'll be around 3 days per week. She was on a full time course but is too ill to manage full time so is restarting in September on a part time route. Thankyou, I'll look at the link.0

Hi @MichelleLH
Welcome to the community. Do you know how many hours the 3 days will constitute?
Here's a gov.uk page that explains a bit about claiming Universal Credit as a student, which might be of use.
Here's the other discussion that Janer1967 mentioned. The situation of that user is slightly different, but you may find some of the information helpful to read.0 -
Thankyou @Tori_Scope
We don't know exactly yet but it will probably be around 12-15 hours per week.0
