Hi everyone,
I already found a job I’m so excited and happy ? I’m waiting for the DBS soon I received they tell me wen can I start. I’m going to work as a care worker, I never thought that I would achieve a good and a secure job.
My only concern is I’m on furlough until May the 17 and I don’t know wen the DBS arrives I hope next week or so.
I’m very grateful for finding a job and for the help that I had from my adviser she was incredible, fantastic she’s still helping we are going to talk about the questions that I should do wen I start working. I also start taking another online course “ Young people and their mental health” it’s going to help me.
Stay safe

Hi @NellyMaggie
Well done you for getting a new job! Care workers do such a vital job in our communities and I'm sure the people who you work with will greatly appreciate all you do for them. It's fab to know the support you received from your Support to Work advisor helped too
When did you submit your DBS form? I've had a little look at the latest government stats around processing enhanced DBS applications and almost 80% were completed within 14 days in March 2021 so fingers crossed all will be done in time.
The online course about young people and mental health sounds interesting. Please let us know how you get on with it, and of course with your exciting new job - good luck

Thanks ?
@Cher_Scope
The best part of the job it’s in a care home, I’m going to work with people with mental health. I had so many interviews and they were going so well, but soon it came to the health problems topic the interview was over.It was the organisation who did it, on March 29 the process was take in. The first step is ready. They give a link so I could track the DBS, if it’s 14 days on the 16th of May it’s going to do 15 days. That’s good news ?
Fingers cross
I believe that is going to help a lot I’m finishing the first week and it’s really interest with a lot information. I will say how things are going. ❤️ -
