I have been receiving PIP from 2016 my award should’ve ended February 2021, I had a letter last year before saying their extending my PIP for another 12 months then in March 2021 I received a disability renewal form I send it back in 2 days when I completed, I’m still waiting to hear. Do you any of you guys know who long is the wait or do you think it should finish on my award date. I have high levels anxiety it’s making me worried all the time sometimes I feel nauseous. Hi there
Some people are still waiting for assessment since sending forms back in Dec but it all depends on area
They normally allow 6 months for complete process
Your current award will stay in place till a new decision is made as you have the extension
Once a decision is made this will over ride your current claim
Good luck let us know how you get on -
Thanks for that. I will let you know how I get on

Hi @lisawells1990 - & welcome to the community. It does happen that people get an extension of their PIP award, then get a renewal letter. As Jane mentions, please rest assured that your current award will stay in place until a decision is made. I know easier said than done, but try to put it out of your mind for now as unfortunately it's taking time to look at doing assessments. Please do kindly let us know how you get on, thank you.
