How long to wait for even an acknowledgement of my esa supersession request?

Was in ESA Support group 2013-2018, then moved down to WRAG since then (All legacy ESA). My last normal review date was last October but that has passed without a form being sent to me and i'm still getting paid. I have had some worsening health issues develop in the last year so I decided to request a move back into the Support group which is called a supersession, I did this in mid-March - 6 weeks ago. I sent off lots of good paperwork evidence by special delivery and heard nowt since. Now I know they can take as long as they like and there is the backend of a pandemic to still contend with so they may have backlog issues with that, but at the very least I was expecting an esa50 to be fired off to me after a week or two - which I believe is the normal 'knee-jerky' thing they do when someone reports a worsening condition on esa.
At the moment it feels like someone has just ripped up all the paperwork I sent!

hi @madmaddden and welcome to scope, I think to say they "may"have backlog issues is probably understating the issue, they have major backlog issues.

I suppose the answer is to contact them and check what's going on.

    Hi all
    I don't know what to do .
I've no where else to go.
Some time ago I  mentioned  on scope site about my housing situation.

I bidded for a property  unfortunately  I didn't get it.

Also I'm on legacy benifits and pip.
    High rate  for daily living

    Lower rate for mob
If I move to another area  will I lose my ESA.

I feel lost more swa since the lock down.
My life is over I don't think ill ever have a  normal  life.
Also I have a sociolotor  who has no empathy and  says one thing then advises me to do another she also shouts  .
     What shall I do ?

Moving to a new local authority does not automatically end ESA. However if you currently receive Housing Benefit you cannot take this with you if you move to a different local authority (with a few exceptions). If you need to claim help with rent you would then need to claim Universal Credit. Claiming UC would end any income based ESA entitlement.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.

Thanks for the reply. I don't think I will contact them, I will assume they received the paperwork I sent them as it was special delivery and i've got the post office receipt and the signature online through the post office track and trace.

It's been 7 weeks now but as you say there almost certainly is a backlog - though I imagine it was much worse a year ago, it's just that I expected the ESA50 form to have arrived after a couple of weeks max THEN the big delay once I sent it back. I'm comforting myself that perhaps the information I sent them was enough so no need for an ESA50 and that they maybe waiting to hear from my GP/Specialist.
