Hi all
Do not know of anyone else is having the same issue but I received a review form for my daughters PIP on tbe 16th April filled it all in sent proof with tbe form and posted it the same day . Have rang several times to see if they have received it and they said no they haven't problems with post etc etc . I have received a letter from them this morning saying I have not sent tbe form in and her PIP will stop if it is not done !!!!
This is ridiculous because if they send me another form out that's going to take another week and then I send it off and what if its lost again !
I am so stressed out I have enough on with everything else I deal wirh with her mental health condition ? I've just had a break down with it all and now this I don't know what to do with PIP they keep fobbing me off saying give it a couple of weeks blah blah

Hi there
I understand your frustration
They do send reminders and they intend come in the crossover time
It can take a few weeks after getting your firm before it is scanned on the system and until this is done it doesn't show as being received
All you can do is keep checking they are now allowing 3 months for return of forms to allow for backlogs -
Thank you for your comment the issue I's I have to July to send it back but why send a reminder when they know that there is a backlog I'm so scared her PIP will stop
-
Sorry meant to say I definitely sent it back the same day I received the form first class post but it wouldn't have been picked up till the following morning from the post box . Just really worried with everything else going on then this it seems to never end

OK thank you sorry just worrying but thank you for your help
-
It's likely that they have got it but not scanned it into the system, did you get proof of posting?2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡

Your welcome try not to worry
Her pip will not stop if you have to July to return there is plenty of time to get it sorted
As mentioned above the reminder is auto generated -
Hello @ange89
I hope the replies from other members have helped put your mind at ease a bit, I understand why this has caused you worry. As mentioned by Jane all you can do is keep checking, and hopefully soon enough they will be able to confirm to you that they've received it and scanned it in.
I'm sorry to read about how much this has impacted you, do you have coping techniques in place to help you manage your mental health? And is your mental health something you and your daughter receive support for?
Best of luck with your daughter's review.Online Community CoordinatorConcerned about another member's safety or wellbeing? Flag your concerns with us.

Have you arranged an appointment with your GP or is that something you will try to do at the start of next week? In the meantime, you might find some of these coping methods from Mind useful and you are always welcome to give Scope's helpline a call if you want to have a chat with one of the lovely team.Online Community CoordinatorConcerned about another member's safety or wellbeing? Hi @ange89 I just wanted to see how you were getting on? How did your appointment go?
-
Thank you
I have high very high blood pressure and worn out . But my daughter had her first appointment with the AMHS phycotrist and she has to go for a EEG scan as they think she may be having absent seizures which are causing her episodes. And her meds maybe causing her bones wearing down re her hips so again more stress and worry .
But thank you for asking x -
Did your GP mention anything about how to bring your blood pressure down a bit @ange89?
That does sound stressful, but at least they're doing further investigation to get your daughter more well. How is she feeling about it? -
I'm getting meds but I have to be careful as I have bad IBS so things can make it worse .
My daughter has closed down sadly ?she's had so many diagonis off different phycotirsts she's had enough . She won't eat she doesn't get out of Ed she says what's tbe point . People do not understand that she struggles so much . They are wanting to put her on more anti phycotic meds because she has suicidal thoughts all the time . But they want to see what the bone specialist says about her hips .
I've had enough can't do this anymore . I'm exhausted sick of trying to get her help .
But hey this is part and parcel of mental health and il fight for whatever it takes for her -
I see @ange89. Hopefully it won't make your IBS flare up.
That is a really difficult situation with your daughter. Hopefully checking out her bones will help the psychiatrist to work out a plan for medication and other treatments, as it sounds as though she's really struggling. Do you think she'd feel able to speak to an organisation such as Samaritans or SHOUT if she was really struggling and wanted to speak to someone different?
Did you mention how much this is all affecting you when you visited your GP? It's important that you look after your own mental health too. -
I did but there is only me and I have to be around for her . She doesn't speak to people on the phone she gets very anxious. It will be OK I don't let things go so keep ploughing on .
Thank you for your concern and help
