How do you give away disability aids for proper use

Hello,
My mum suffered from Multiple Sclerosis and recently passed away.
I have two really good, strong fold up ramps that we used to put out when she visited so her electric wheelchair could get up the steps to our house.
They cost somthing like £750 when they were new & I would like to give them away to anyone who would make good use of them.
My concern is if I put them up on Gumtree or the like, someone will just take them for scrap.
Does anyone know a way I can find them a good owner? Needs to be quick as I am moving house soon.
Thanks
Alex

Hi @Verloc
https://www.scope.org.uk/advice-and-support/selling-used-disability-equipment/
Some in formation there
, also some specialists sites let u advertise your aids, if you look on google.
Lots of charities would except the donation too.
Sorry to read your about your mom passing and welcome to forum. -
Thanks Sandy, I shall take a look at the link

Hi @Verloc and a warm welcome to our community.
I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your mum. I hope you're coping okay and please do let us know if you need any support dealing with her bereavement.
The link that @Sandy_123 mentioned is a good one and it lists various second-hand disability equipment websites that you could use to ensure the ramps go to a good home. Take care and you know where we are if you ever need any help.

Might be an idea not to give them away but to sell them?
Are you on facebook? have a look at disability groups in your area maybe?2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡 -
Thanks Cher, Woodbine.
I shall take a look for local fb groups.
i would be happy to give away if someone can make good use out of them, but would rather have cash if theyre just going for scrap!
