Thanks to @janer1967 for this idea.
Here we share unusual things we have done - things that people wouldn't expect we have done or things that most people haven't done!
For example a couple from me:
I have been locked in a police prison cell.
I have driven around an F1 circuit.
I realise I am not very interesting and I've ran out of interesting things...I'm sure you can come up with more!
Over to you!

I once saved the life of a hedgehog by gently rolling it across a busy road to the other side. (Well I wasn’t going to pick it up..they’re prickly! ?)
i also saved the life life of a dove chick by hand feeding it. When I released it into the wild it actually came back when I called and sat on my arm. We were good friends for quite a while. ?6 -

I'm also quite boring, and can't really think of anything right now...
I've had a poem published in a book (it was in primary school and there wasn't much competition but we can gloss over that detail).
Nice thread @66Mustang!2 -
I bought a house, in a country I couldn’t speak the language of, by accident.
kayaked with a pod of killer whales…it was an accident, I was kayaking, then the whales popped up, then I was kayaking with whales, in a kayak that suddenly smelled of wee!
won an award from the Vatican for bravery…I love telling people that the Pope said I am brave!
got hypothermia at the top of Ben Nevis…NOT the ideal place.
Got bitten by a Lion.
opened a restaurant, and bar, without having pulled a pint, or served a meal before…this was another of my “I know why don’t we…” ideas.
the list really does go on for quite a while, but I will stop there.
Bipolar means you really do get to the very top, and very bottom!5 -

Yeah, i'm not exciting eitherExciting stuff is also, often, incredibly scary too.
Telling a tale of being stuck on a mountain ridge as a gale force wind decided to come through, it was so strong it was pushing me over the edge, there was a couple lying down in the snow to wait it out she was clearly terrified, as was I. The only way down was a black run with all of the snow ripped off it, leaving just ice. Going over the top I knew that there would be a few crashes on the way down, so carefully planning which snow (I hoped, that could have been ice too) once moving my recent ice skiing lesson really paid off and I managed to hit the bottom without crashing once, which was a relief, as crashing on a run that steep can end very badly, as you won’t stop until you hit thick, soft snow, a tree, or the bottom !
Really exciting to tell…Scary as heck to experience.
it takes quite a lot to get my adrenaline running now!1 -
I have played snooker with a very famous (now deceased) player... no surprise he won!!
I have saved the life of a giant tortoise that didn't need saving as it was only going for a walk (only in Turkey)
The rest of my life is quite boring

you are still being a success, in a different field.
I went from high flying sales management position, earning fantastic money, to benefits of £100 a week…I felt I had failed, everybody, we had to sell cars, houses, all sorts of things I had become VERY attached to.
I took a good year to finally accept what was happening, now I am feeling a success again, building guitars, and selling the wood to make them.
(still skint though)

Wow there's some interesting folk amongst us, who frankly put me in the shade. I don't consider any of you failures either - life's hard and messy and difficult sometimes, especially if you have an impairment. So, consider all you've been through and yet you've still made it past all those worst days. Give yourself a pat on the back for being so blimmin' resilient
I have...- Graduated with a masters despite dropping out of college when young through ill-health
- Been the first person ever to receive a new IBD treatment at my hospital (woo for being a guinea pig
)
- Got pregnant after 10 years of infertility and treatment << my biggest achievement yet
- Met Will Young.. did I mention I love Will Young?
- Once accidentally stole a chair from a charity shop - that I hasten to add, I returned upon realising my error.. lordy!
