Hi @DebbieWilson welcome to the forum, have you consulted with your dr about the changes you are having? Might be worth a visit. Feel free to join in with topics going on here.

Hi @DebbieWilson Welcome to the community! Thanks for joining, and for sharing a bit about yourself.
I'm sorry to hear that you've been struggling to cope with your symptoms lately. What kinds of things do you do at the moment to reduce the pain, tiredness, and brain fog? Is there anything that's worked in the past? The NHS also have some self-help tips that you might like to read through if you haven't already.
I don't have fibromyalgia myself, but we do have plenty of other members with the same condition. I've added a bit to the title of your post, and moved it into our 'dealing with chronic pain' category so that other members can find your post more easily and hopefully share some tips. -
hi Tori
thanks for your message. I’ve not really treated the pain before as I was able to cope, but lately it’s got worse and so has the tiredness I sleep about 14 hours in total throughout the day which is affecting my work and home life. Nothing seems to work to ease the pain eg over the counter painkillers. I’m going to contact my doctors next week but don’t hold out much hope of being able to see them at present ? -
Have you tried doing any gentle exercises @DebbieWilson? I'd definitely encourage you to give your doctor a ring, and make it clear that it's really impacting your daily life.

I contacted my doctor who would only do a phone consultation and he prescribed me codiene not sure why all it does is make me sleep more and give me constipation. I also have now moved my mum in with me as she has COPD and is not expected to live longer than 6 months. I don’t know how I’m going to cope. I also try to help my daughter who is a single parent to my grandson who has CP and is deaf. Life is so hard at the moment ?

Hi @DebbieWilson
Thanks for the update, I'm sorry that things are difficult at the minute but I appreciate you sharing it with us.
Have you gone back to your GP to discuss the impacts of the new medication and to find out if there are any alternatives?
Furthermore, do you receive any support from your GP for your mental health? Everything that's going on seems as though it's impacting your well-being.Online Community CoordinatorConcerned about another member's safety or wellbeing? Flag your concerns with us.
