Phone call from case manager

Hi there,
Some of you may remember I had my pip assessment a few weeks ago, today I had a phone call from the case manager just clarifying a few bits from the report she said I will have a decision made this week. I first applied at the end of November so it’s been a long wait. Hopefully it’s nearly over for a while anyway.

Thanks everyone I have to be honest although it’s been a very long process it has been much better than others I have read on here both the assessor and case manager I have spoken to have been very nice. The case manager this morning did say she was awarding enhanced mobility she was going to go over the care questions again and make a definete decision on that. Asked lots of questions about hospital stays I have had and said thankfully at the moment they didn’t impact on my award? She also said she had to work out when it could be paid from but I would probably have the money in my bank before I got the letter. After reading lots of other people’s stories I was terrified of this process but so far they have been fair and polite not much more I can ask for x1

Thanks for the update, and please do let us know how you get on.

The questions about hospital stays are to check periods of entitlement to be paid. Entitlement ends after 28 days in hospital and stays separated by less than 28 days are added together.1
