I want to champion a cause in my community and I don't know how to go about it.
My local Council recently admitted its ignorance of how the confiscation order, under the Proceed of Crime Act 2002 legislation, affects entitlement to benefit. I believe that the Council must have made unjust decision over the last 20 yrs forcing people into homelessness or to imprisonment. I have asked the Council to review all its previous decisions but it has refused to do so. Can you please advise on the next step to take. Thanks.

To do whst you want to do is not being a community champion to get the council to do what you are asking is a judicial review which has to go through a solicitor you will also need evidence that this has happend evidence is then gathered to see if there is enough evidence to open a judicial review which is not easy
