Hi @Absmite and a warm welcome to the community!Disability Gamechanger - 2019

Hi l would like to know if anyone has informed the DWP about a change in circumstance and what their experience was like as l am having more flare ups of my condition and finding it difficult to do certain tasks
-
Hi again @Absmite - just to say you don't have to let the DWP know about a change in your condition unless you feel it would gain you more points, which may then increase your award. We do have members that have reported a change of circumstances, but it's always wise to get some advice first before considering this. Try Advicelocal to see if there's a Welfare Rights Office or Citizens Advice near you if you decide to go ahead. Please see: https://advicelocal.uk/But first have a look at this link to see if reporting a change may result in gaining those extra points: https://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/asset-library/Personal-Independence-Payment-Descriptors-and-Scores-April-2021.pdfHope this helps you decide. Any questions, please do come back.

Lovely thank you so much l will definitely have a look at those links
-
You're very welcome @Absmite If you do put in for a change of circumstances, then you will have to complete a new claim form & have another assessment.
-
OK thanks l have a lot to think about as my award ends 2024
-
Also be aware that altho your award ends 2024, the DWP can also send you a review form to complete at any time. We have had several members that having just been given an extension of their award were then sent a review form to complete. Sort of dreading it myself, as I was also given an extension, but, like everyone else, I could get a review form at any time.
