Lwara joint claim

Hi all some help would be appreciated
My wife fell ill 2018 she gets pip standard care only and esa .
Unfortunately I fell ill November 2019 I claimed esa and we claimed uc joint claim My wife was put in lwara group and got the extra element.
My work assessment was due late march 2020 covid struck. I eventually got my assessment couple of weeks ago .my question is can both get the extra element of uc . Ps I get pip enhanced both elements. My daughter is my carer and claims caresses allowance for me. Many thanks Gary

Only one LCWRA element can be paid per UC claim. if you provide 35 hours of care to your wife you can claim the carer element (if nobody else gets Carer’s Allowance or the carer element of UC for looking after her).0

If you are providing 35 hours of care for your wife you can report this on your UC journal and you will be entitled to the carer element of UC (£163.73/month) - provided nobody else already gets Carer’s Allowance or the carer element of UC for looking after her. You could have been getting this since the start of your UC claim.0
