Got my pip decision. If I appeal, is there a chance I'll get fewer points and lose out?

So got my pip decision and I've been given the standard rate for both elements, 8 points for daily living 10 points for mobility.
My question is if I appeal it is there a chance I'll get less points and lose out ? Thanks

Hi @grovehead - most Mandatory Reconsiderations (the first stage you have to go through when appealing) remain the same. On the one hand the success rate is very low, & most result in no change to an award, yet on the other it's rare for an award to be lowered. If then appealing to a tribunal the success rate is much higher.
