Strange plant in garden

My wife bought me a Bonsai. 'grow from seed pack' a while ago. Nothing grew! ?
Then one single small green shoot appeared. It is not a bonsai it came from what must have been a rogue seed; I didn't know was in there. It grew fast and so I planted it in a much larger pot and now after a couple of months I have this in the garden. There are now six big shoots around it and I have no idea how big it will get or what it is?
I am guessing it may be some kind of Japanese plant. 'Some sort of grass plant? I do love it ?
Can anyone tell me what it is?
Please see photo.

Maidengrass? If seeds sourced from Japan/China/Asia?
Until it flowers, might be hard to identify!
Looks like what i had years ago, when i was growing Bonsai! -
Pandan ?

Thanks @gaz1960
I'm not sure if it will flower! I will wait and see and meantime look up what you have said. -
@gaz1960
I forgot to add. My plant has no aroma. I think Pandan has? I also think it has health benefits? -
@Dragonslayer
Try this app if you have a smart phone. You just take a photo of the item you want identified and it will do a google search and bring up suggestions. I find it very useful for identifying rogue seedlings or plants in my garden.
