Hi
I have been awarded lcwar.
Is it same as pip?
Can I also apply for disability and PIP on this ground?
Thanks
Moin -
Hello @Moin
Welcome to the community, how are you?
Congratulations on being awarded LCWRA. It is a component of Universal Credit, which is a completely different benefit to PIP. You claim them both separately, Universal Credit is means tested whereas PIP is not.
A couple of links from the Scope website:

Hi @Moin - & welcome to the community. Universal Credit & PIP are totally separate benefits with different criteria. You can certainly apply for PIP, &, as it isn't a means tested benefit, it won't affect your Universal Credit. There's some info about PIP here: https://www.gov.uk/pip/eligibility & here are the activities or descriptors that are looked at with PIP: https://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/asset-library/Personal-Independence-Payment-Descriptors-and-Scores-April-2021.pdf
Please come back with any questions.

I'm a EU citizen. I'm legally living in the UK from 20/06/2019.
Am I eligible to apply for pip?
Thanks

Hi again
I'm not totally sure all I know is you have to have lived in UK for at least 2 out of the last 3 years
As you get uc I take it you are entitled to public funds -
Yes I'm entitled to public funds.
-
You should be able to apply then I would think
-
-
No it won't affect your lcwra or uc or anything
Pip is not a means tested benefit so you can get it and it won't affect any other benefits
Sometimes getting pip gives other benefits If you get daily living element somebody could possibly claim carers element for you , housing element could increase if you rent private , if you get enhanced mobility you get free car tax and able to get a car through motability and also possibly a blue badge -
How can I apply for pip?
I want to apply online.
Is it possible?
Lwcra help to eligible pip?
Thanks -
LCWRA has no relevance to PIP. Both separate. Different criteria.

Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.

Having LCWRA does not help with claiming PIP. To begin a PIP claim ring 0800 917 2222 as in the link calcotti gave. This also says,
Before you call, you’ll need:
- your telephone number
- your date of birth
- your National Insurance number - this is on letters about tax, pensions and benefits
- your bank or building society account number and sort code
- your doctor or health worker’s name, address and telephone number
- dates and addresses for any time you’ve spent in a care home or hospital
- dates for any time you spent abroad for more than 4 weeks at a time, and the countries you visited
