Is it worth claiming attendance allowance, as more cost to her social care will be incurred?

Hi all, I’m back again scrounging for information.

have a relative who’s had a financial assessment for the social care she’s receiving. It works out at a modest £27ish a week cost. She will be entitled to attendance allowance (but not yet claimed) and this will incur more cost to her social care as she will have more income if we claim it. The person who did her financial assessment didn’t say how much her care would go up by, so I’m looking for an independent view of whether it’s worth claiming.

Thanks in advance

Tony
