    Hi @Thedoc83

I understand why you would be worried about that, but I'm sure that wouldn't be the case. You can read further information about needs assessments here on the NHS website, if it helps.

@thedoc - you’re struggling a bit!  Every GP Surgery should have access to a Counselling provision that get you access to x6 sessions - that is usually sufficient to manage symptoms of anxiety.  Medication for depression is good but without a talk therapy there capabilities as a treatment is limited.  This is when a referral to Psychology - takes over from Counselling - and expected to offer a longer term management and understanding of ‘your experience’ of anxiety + depression.  For Analysis and longer term understanding, managing and acceptance of why a referral to Psychotherapy might be considered the better option.  All three are hard to collaborate in but all three are excellent treatments.  The biggest downside is their waiting lists.  Most areas have voluntary services which are good safety/holding nets and shouldn’t be dismissed for support.  You don’t have to read this or go with the advice but good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Have they been able to teach you any techniques for remaining calm and ordering your thoughts @Thedoc83?

As Ross said in an earlier comment, it's important that you take your time when moving to the next step @Thedoc83. Try not to rush into getting a job if you don't feel ready yet, just take things one step at a time. If you don't feel as though you could manage travelling to work, what about working from home? More companies are now offering remote opportunities, so perhaps that could be an option for you in the future?
