All Party Parliamentary Group on Cerebral Palsy First Session

Scope, in partnership with Adult CP Hub, is sponsoring the next two sessions of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Cerebral Palsy* https://connectpa.co.uk/appg-cerebral-palsy/. 

There will be two sessions focused specifically on issues affecting adults with cerebral palsy followed by a written report which will make specific recommendations. 

The first session is looking at: 

Barriers for adults with Cerebral Palsy accessing and receiving healthcare that prevents them from ageing well and full life participation. 

This first session is taking place on Tuesday 14th September from 1400 to 1530 and will be a virtual session. 

We have a great lineup of speakers 

• Dr Charlie Fairhurst, head of children’s neurosciences along with specialist physiotherapist Susie Turner at Evelina London 

• Caroline Nokes MP, Chair of the Women and Equalities Committee 

• Dr Kirsty Colquhoun will give her professional and personal perspective as someone who is living and working with cerebral palsy 

• Adult Cerebral Palsy Hub will present their perspective and evidence for change

* An all-party parliamentary group (APPG) is a grouping in the Parliament that is composed of members of parliament from all political parties.
