Still no award letter, even though payment has come in. Could they have paid me by mistake?

Hi, I received a larhe payment from PIP 2 weeks ago today, after my review and phone assessment. I still have not recieved an award letter. Is it usual to wait this long for it? Im worried they paid me by mistake.

    HI,

I know there's a backlog of mail coming from and going to DWP, although a couple of weeks since you received payment is a long time. You may have to ring them to ask them to send another decision letter.

    Hi @Gypsy19

The same thing happened to my daughter (I am her appointee)
Her decision was made on the 3rd, a payment was made soon after and the letter arrived on the 30th!

Just to reassure you, I don't think the DWP pay people PIP "by mistake" at least that's what other members here have said.

Good advice from @poppy123456 to call them though and chase your decision letter (can take just over an hour to get through, so allow plenty of time)

Hope you get your letter soon.. ?
