I'm very sorry to hear about what you've had to endure @Boyden1964. Thanks for sharing your story with us.
Have you considered accessing any grief counselling? It can be really helpful to talk things through with someone who understands.
I'm sure the memorial will be lovely, and will give you some closure. I hope that you're able to hug your loved ones soon. Do you have any plans to meet up with them in the meantime? Are you able to keep in touch with them remotely? -
Hello Tori_Scope to answer to your question I'm mostly lonely at home because last night I was in the dinning table having dinner on my own and none of my parents wanted to join me as I wanted to make an effort. Can you help me please?
I do have meals at the table with others on special occasions. I often have my meals in my room so I decided that it is best to have breakfast, lunch and dinner downstairs. -
I am lonely. And have for most of my life. I am now used to the feeling and experiencing loneliness.
But if I have several people around me I get freaked out. Get back to being lonely. A Double Edged Sword.
( I hope that saying is applicable, otherwise I will look a right plank ) -
I'm sorry to hear your parents didn't want to join you @chloeknight16071992. Did they say why they didn't want to eat dinner with you?
I'd say that's correct usage of the phrase @oldngrumpy, something that has both good and bad consequences. Do you find one on one interactions easier? Does chatting to people online help to ease any feelings of loneliness? -
No my parents didn't tell me why they didn't dine with me at the table.
Yes the one on one interactions is easy.
Yes chatting to other people helps me to ease my feelings of lonliness. -
Have you spoken to them about how it made you feel when they didn't want to eat with you at the table @chloeknight16071992? They might not have realised that it made you feel lonely, or that you'd like to start eating your dinner at the table.
-
No I haven't.
-
I think that might be a good idea @chloeknight16071992 Perhaps you could try speaking to them about it tonight or tomorrow?
-
Hi Tori_Scope I confronted my parents via text on WhatsApp about they way they wouldn't dine with me.

What did they say @chloeknight16071992?
