How can you find time for yourself when you have the kids at home 24/7?
Try giving yourself just 5 to 10 minutes a day:
- Yoga in under 10 minutes
- See if Quick Draw can guess what you’re doodling
- Make an origami butterfly in 4 minutes
- Put in your headphones and play your favourite song.
- …and if you’re feeling energetic, dance to it!
- Find a podcast and treat yourself to 10 minutes
- Start a journal and write in it for 5 minutes a day
- Read a short story
- Or do nothing! Just sit down, shut your eyes and enjoy not doing a thing.
What do you do to relax? Let us know in the comments below!

Can I join in? I don't have children but 3 demanding cats!!
I'm a big fan of getting outside and going for a quick walk with a friend or my sister. This gives me the opportunity to splurge whatever is in my head and also get some fresh air.1 -

Pinterest is my go to… my son has adhd and often won’t leave me alone even for a moment. So in those precious minutes when they do happen Pinterest reminds me that a) I still exist b) I like things outside of parenting c) I can be in my own little bubble for a few minutes & just melt away…0

All my children are grown up now, but I do look after grandchildren, I'm quite competitive, so I am trying not to let the person trying very hard to catch me up on candy crush. (I'm miles ahead
) so in order to get 10 minutes in, I put on the child's favourite programme with snacks, then make a coffee and crush away.
