Hi. I have a beautiful 3 month old baby boy. During my pregnancy the placenta was not providing enough oxygen and caused brain damaged this was confirmed when he was just 2 weeks old by brain scans - MRI said he has "periventricular enchaphalamalcia". I know I am not going to get a diagnosis of whether he has CP or not until he is older but I am just being realistic and looking for advice. Since CP has a huge spectrum is there anyway to know how he will be affected? Will it be his speech, feeding, movement? Is there any signs that I can look out for to indicate what will be affected?

Hi @TMcG - & welcome to the community. Thank you for joining asking about your little boy. No-one at this stage can say how he will be, but, as a caring parent, I'm sure you'll do all you can for him.....encourage, help, & love him; that's the major part of all he'll ever need. :)
