Hello everyone,

I'm here to announce the league table for the 2021/2022 Online Community Football Prediction Competition after the fixtures from Game Week 1.

It was a quiet start to the 2021/2022 competition, but both @chiarieds and @Ignatiusyork have crept into an early lead with 1 point from 1 correct prediction each.

Please look out for the fixtures for game week 2 and let us know your predictions.

Here's the updated league table following the conclusion of game week 3:

@Ignatiusyork and @Stayce had a massive week and have stormed into a sizeable lead over the rest of the table. It's early days though and there's still plenty of time to catch up, so please look out for the fixtures for game week 4 and let us know your predictions.

Hi @ernie2009 how are you? What a fantastic start to the season we're having and with Europa starting next week, things are looking up. We've also made some decent signings, especially Zouma, he will sure up the back, which I think we need. Please can I ask how do you feel about us not signing Jesse? Though his contract with United is coming to an end, maybe in the future? Thank you.

A quiet week this week with only 5 points earned in total across the competition. @Ignatiusyork still clings onto top spot but only by virtue of alphabetical order.

There's still plenty more fixtures to play, so look out for the fixtures for Game Week 5 and tell us your predictions.

hi @WestHam06 hope you are wll, yes we had an amazing season last year and started this season where we left off. yes we made some decent signings and i was really hoping we would sign jesse but maybe soon. i read somewhere jesse wanted to stay at utd hoping he would get some games in so only time will tell. hers an oldie for you which i bought just before the final

Thank you so much @ernie2009 for sharing this with me, it's really kind of you. I'm trying to see if I recognise any of the players. I think I recognise Billy Bonds and Frank Lampard and possibly Trevor Brooking, I bet it's a brilliant version, you can't beat 'I'm forever blowing bubbles'- it's the best

I agree about Jesse, even though he scored at the weekend, realistically, Man United have so much quality now, it will be difficult to break into that squad on a permanent basis. We shall have to see. Thank you.

hi @WestHam06, i knew i still had the record but didnt realise where id put it but the wife found it. here is the list of players, Billy Bonds, Graham Paddon, Frank Lampard, Billy Jennings, Alan Taylor, Kevin Locke, Tommy Taylor, John McDowell, Mervyn Day, Pat Holland, Trevor Brooking, Bobby Ferguson and manager John Lyall. i remembered most of them but being truthfull not all of them so looked it up. now those were the days and lovely memories of going to the old wembley twice in 6 years and winners on both ocasions.

Here's the updated league table following the conclusion of game week 6:

@Stayce's time at the top was short-lived as @Ignatiusyork dramatically leapt back into first place with 3 points this week and it looks like a gap is starting to open up between the top 3 and the rest of the pack.

There's still plenty more fixtures to predict though, so look out for the fixtures for Game Week 7 and tell us your predictions.
