He said my letter moved him I started crying we can now start to move on.. how long do back payments take he said I have a substantial amount which I not sure when it back dates from I made the claim in April but got told in June I didn't get it than mandatory reconsideration was accepted on the 25th June so I'm wondering when it will be from any advice welcome please

Hi there
Are you referring to your claim for pip or some other benefit ?
If its pip If a first time claim it is back dated to when you first rang to apply
If a review or change of circumstances that would be different
Other benefits are different so without knowing what benefit you are referring to we can't really answer -
Hiya yes it's pip

Once payment is made it takes 3-5 working days to go into your bank.

Hiya everyone so after 16 weeks I got a call today to say I've got pip couldn't believe it I cried when he rang... He said I should receive my payment in 7 to 10 days... Has anyone else ever had a back payment? When do they do it from? I think I first applied in Feb when I found out about my illness but I got refused and now been accepted

Congratulations @Carebear41, you must be delighted with that. It should be backdated to when you first phoned up to make your claim, hopefully the money will be with you soon!

Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK. -
3-5 working days as advised in your other thread. If you’ve been told 28th then that’s when it will be.
