In terms of the diabetes, please make sure you get a referral to a hospital diabetes team as you are entitled, as part of this you will get to see a diabetes specialist nurse.Do you know what insulin they are going to treat you with?I have had type 1 since I was 13, so any advice you might need I am happy to help. (Obviously I can’t provide specific medical advice though).0

Hi there
I'm sorry to hear of your recent diagnosis but at least you can be treated appropriately now for your conditions
Type 1 diabetes is a surprise as it 8s normally type 2 that occurs in adults in more cases but either way it is hard to come to terms with new conditions and managing them
We have lots members with these conditions who will be here to support you0 -
I have a appointment to see the nurse at Aberdeen hospital tomorrow we're she well give me all I need not as yet I well know tomorrow , it's just is it hard to us the insulin I have very bad hands I think a nurse we'll be coming in to see me to give me it thanks for reply0

That’s more of a misconception. It happens more than you might think. Adults will be diagnosed with a specific type 1 diabetes called LADA (latent autoimmune diabetes of adulthood)janer1967 said:
